Apple has released a major update to Final Cut 2 for iPad and Final Cut Pro 10.8 for Mac.
Thus, a new Live Multicam feature has appeared, which allows users to simultaneously watch up to four different angles of one scene using a connected iPhone and iPad. To do this, Apple created the Final Cut Camera app, which captures video from each device and transfers it to Final Cut Pro.
In FC Camera you can shoot video with manual settings: you can adjust the format, resolution, frequency, focal length, exposure, white balance, ISO, and so on. Final Cut Pro will show the preview and then replace the footage with fully developed files so users can quickly move from shooting to editing.
The updated Final Cut Pro app for iPad supports external projects, so you can create or open projects on external devices and import media without taking up space on your tablet. Apple has added advanced customization options to Final Cut Pro, including 12 color gradation presets, eight main text titles, 20 soundtracks, and new moving backgrounds.
With the M4 chip, Final Cut Pro renders 2x faster and supports 4x more ProRes RAW streams than the M1. Final Cut for iPad is also compatible with Apple Pencil Pro.
Obviously, Final Cut for iPad does not work without a subscription, which must be purchased in Russia.
