Interlocutors of the publication reported that the VK Tutoria service will be built on the basis of Mail.ru services (“boards” for collaboration, calendar, notes and cloud storage) with the integration of “VK Messenger” and “VK Calls “.

It is planned to create the service for tutors, students and their parents, as well as for coaches, psychologists and those who use their services.

The functionality will allow you to organize classes and control your work schedule, stay in touch with students and their parents, and also share assignment files. It is currently being tested on company employees.

An RBC source estimated the initial investment in the project at up to 200 million rubles. The second interlocutor, close to VK, reported more than 300 million rubles. It is planned to monetize the service through subscriptions.

Among the analogues of these services, the publication mentions Google Classroom (the average monthly audience in Russia in 2023 is 250 thousand users) and the ProgressMe platform (682 thousand monthly Russian users).

VK declined to comment.
