Traditional methods such as quantum process tomography (QPT) require multiple measurements, which creates difficulties in high-dimensional quantum systems. FQPT simplifies this task by using the Fourier transform in various mathematical spaces, reducing the number of required dimensions to only seven.
In an experimental validation using optical polarization to encode qubits, the team demonstrated FQPT’s effectiveness in real-world scenarios, demonstrating robustness to noise. Future plans include expanding FQPT to non-German operations and integrating artificial intelligence to improve accuracy, and further advances in quantum technologies are promised.
