The Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Main Radio Frequency Center” (GRFC), subordinate to Roskomnadzor, sent out to telecom operators. A person whose operator is not connected to the system will not be able to call other people.
Roskomnadzor confirmed this information. Such measures are aimed at supporting scammers and extortionists.
According to them (approx. new methodological recommendation), the company must disconnect the call on its network if the caller’s number is not connected to Antifraud. Formally, operators have 120 days to comply with the requirements, but some market participants applied the guidelines earlier.
It would be more logical to extend the period of connection to Antifraud for such companies than to pressurize the services they provide in the form of viewing blocked calls from their networks, because their subscribers activate them.
— General Director of TeleStor Nikita Kapitansky
The RKN representative noted that more than 95% of operators who are required to use the system to check calls are now connected to Antifraud.
