Originally, the Keystone was supposed to be a dedicated streaming device that would let you play games over the cloud with Xbox Game Pass, but Microsoft has since shelved plans to launch the Keystone, citing difficulties in getting a price that’s attractive to buyers.
The patent reveals that it’s a compact, square-shaped device with a round hole at the top, reminiscent of the vent on the Xbox Series S. The front of the console houses the Xbox power button and a USB-A port, while the back has HDMI, Ethernet, and power ports, with a controller pairing button on the right side.
The patent was filed in June 2022.
