Spotify stopped cooperating with Russia shortly after the start of SVO. In March 2022, the company closed its office in the country, and a month later, the Spotify application became unavailable to Russian users on the App Store and Google Play. The Russian subsidiary Spotify LLC was liquidated in December 2023, the publication writes.
Interestingly, on the night of June 27, the pages of many Russian musicians, including Shaman, Slava Marlow and Soda Luv, were hacked. Hackers replaced photos of artists with images advertising their Telegram channel.
The music service did not comment on the situation.
