Warren Buffett, chairman and chief executive of $130 billion Berkshire Hathaway, gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal in which he shared details of the will. One of the largest fortunes of modern times is expected to go to a charitable foundation that, after his death, will be chosen unanimously by his daughter and two sons. Perhaps such a fund does not yet exist.

The publication recalls that the billionaire’s children already manage several charitable foundations: Susan Buffett has the Sherwood Foundation, which deals with pre-school education; Howard Buffett has his own foundation, which guarantees food security; Peter Buffett has the NoVo Foundation, which supports women.

At the same time, an important condition for the transfer of Warren Buffett’s funds is the unanimous decision of the children to which fund they will be transferred. Journalists suggest that it will be a new charitable foundation.

“It should be used to help people who are not as fortunate as us. There are 8 billion people in the world… There are many ways to help people,” the WSJ quotes the billionaire as saying.

On the other hand, Buffett emphasized that “the Gates Foundation will not receive any money after my death.” This turn of events was discussed because the businessman had collaborated with Bill Gates for many years and transferred a total of 43 billion dollars to his fund.

Warren Buffett, however, has already rewritten his will several times. He compiled the current version when he realized that “the children have matured with the years.”
