Apple will not allow iPhone users in Russia to download apps from the Russian RuStore, Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at the mobile research group, told Gazeta.Ru this.

He says that the chances of RuStore or another alternative being resolved are not high. The American company does not operate in Russia and, in fact, has left the country. Therefore, it is unlikely that they will make a positive decision on this issue.
Murtazin believes that to launch RuStore, developers will have to make a deposit of 1 million euros; This condition applies to store creators in the EU. The Russian company will not be able to make this payment, since Apple does not operate in Russia.
“It is impossible to deposit money physically. Yes, VK can bring them to Europe, but legally it is a European alternative store. Please, it will work in Europe. It is not very clear how it will work in Russia,” Murtazin shared.
According to the actual situation, sales of Apple devices in Russia may stop as early as September 1, 2025. In his opinion, there will be no negative consequences, as American products can be replaced by Chinese flagship devices.
