Former Microsoft Russia President Nikolay Pryanishnikov has become the head of the commercial department of the developer of the domestic OM Astra Linux system – Astra Group of Companies. He takes up his post on July 1.

As TASS writes with reference to the press service, Nikolai Pryanishnikov, in addition to Microsoft Russia, held senior positions in companies such as Beeline and World Class.

At Beeline, Pryanishnikov served as CEO, and at Microsoft Russia as President.

Since 2015, he served for several years as vice president of Microsoft’s Central and Eastern Europe division. Before joining the Astra group of companies, Pryanishnikov headed World Class and UFC Gym Russia at the Russian Fitness Group company for eight years.

Last fall, Astra held an initial public offering on the Moscow Stock Exchange, placing 10.5 million shares, or 5% of the capital.

In April 2024, the company launched the SPO program.
