At the same time, the changes say goodbye to the command that has remained in the office suite since its inception.

According to a post on the Microsoft 365 blog, Office apps have undergone major menu changes. Archive. Starting today, the web versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will gain access to commands for renaming and moving filesas well as improved controls to save your progress.

The green check mark is part of the new AutoSave feature. Microsoft notes that this visual confirmation will give the user confidence that changes have been saved correctly. The feature will also show the file structure inside a folder when you click the cloud icon.

Unfortunately, the autosave changes took a victim. Team Save as from the menu Archive it is no longer available in web versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Microsoft mentions that This option is no longer needed as the file is saved automatically.. Instead, we can choose the option Create a copy which duplicates the file in the cloud or downloads it to your computer. If you want save a Word, Excel or PowerPoint document to PDF you just have to choose File > Export. In this option, you can download a copy in different formats and save it on your computer. Users will also be able to get a PDF file using the print function.

Finally, Microsoft has integrated two commands in the menu Archive: History of moves and versions. The first one is self-explanatory, while the second one shows a list of changes made to the file, which is a very useful feature in collaboration environments.
