She believes that a local drop in prices for fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables is expected, but it will not be significant. Products will also not become much cheaper due to the increase in electricity and utility rates of natural monopolies in July. This also affects the final price.
At the same time, summer is the time for a drop in clothing and footwear prices. The expert cites the seasonal low demand and the shift from summer to winter collections as reasons for this. Therefore, some prices will fall. Gondusova advises to start updating the wardrobe now and reminds that the resumption of the shopping and school season will push prices up again.
According to her, real estate can also become cheaper. Most likely, once the preferential mortgage is over, demand will fall and developers will have to make concessions if they want to sell their “spaces”.
Based on the practice of previous years, there are no clear reasons for an increase in consumer prices, including those for services, in the middle of summer. Weekly inflation in the Russian Federation will be between 0.2 and 0.3 percent. The Bank of Russia expects to see a gradual decline in price growth rates in August-September.
We previously wrote that due to the increase in taxes, Russian IT companies may increase software prices. But this will not happen immediately, but in the near future.
