Gazprom’s shares on the Moscow Stock Exchange fell by more than 30% following shareholders’ decision not to pay dividends for 2021. In May, the company’s board of directors recommended approval of the company’s record payouts.
Shares of "Gazprom" on the Moscow Stock Exchange on June 30 fell more than 30%. At a minimum, they traded at 207.69 rubles, 30.2% lower than the closing price of the last trading session.
Quotes collapsed after the results of the annual meeting of shareholders of the Russian gas company. It was decided not to pay dividends for 2021.
"Shareholders have decided that in the current situation it is not advisable to pay dividends for 2021," said Famil Sadygov, deputy chairman of Gazprom's board of directors.
