LEGO announced a new set dedicated to the iconic Atari 2600, the video game console that marked an era. The box contains 2,532 pieces. It’s not the first time a vintage console has been given the ‘LEGO treatment’.
The brick replica of the Atari 2600 console will be available from August 1 for a price of 239.99 euros. Precisely on the occasion of Atari’s 50th anniversary.
It’s just a beautiful set. The console is practically reimagined in 1: 1 scale. We find three cartridges containing some of the video games that immortalized the Atari brand: Centipede, asteroids and adventure (which is considered to be the first video game with an Easter egg).
We also find a replica of the controller, while this time – contrary to what is included in the set dedicated to the NES – we do not also find a replica of a vintage TV. It doesn’t matter, because the console can be opened to reveal a beautiful diorama from a ‘nerd’ room from the 80s. In short, a truly beautiful gem.

In addition to the three video game cartridges – which can be inserted into the slot of the console – we also find three beautiful dioramas representing the three cult.
The Atari 2600 is one of the most memorable gifts I received as a child. That’s why it was an incredible experience for me to merge these two icons, Lego and Atari. It’s a great whole. We hope building this classic console takes you back to those happy childhood days, when a handful of pixels meant a world of adventure.
