Car dealers have warned of a possible disruption in the supply of cars and spare parts from China, Autonews reported.

The Russian Association of Automobile Dealers (ROAD) has pointed out the problems with payments, which have become widespread. According to its president Alexei Podshchekoldin, payments from Russia go to China, but the movement of money is suspended, they are “stuck”.

In terms of sales in Russia, Chinese cars are second only to Lada cars. By the end of the first half of 2024, more than 719 thousand new cars were sold in the Russian Federation, which is 79% more than the previous year.
