According to Mosseri, Edits is “more than a video editing application.” In particular, the service will feature several creative tools, including a section for finding inspiration, a camera function, and the ability to share drafts with other users.
The issues will be available to download for free on March 13. The app page has already appeared on the App Store and will soon be available on Google Play as well. The service is currently being tested among several content authors, Mosseri clarified.
CapCut became unavailable for download on the US App Store and Google Play on January 19, when the law banning TikTok went into effect.
On January 20, TikTok management announced that the service had begun restoring its operations in the United States after President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to restore access to the app.
