The new treatment method is based on mRNA vaccine technology. Unlike traditional vaccines that “train” immunity against previously known viruses, mRNA vaccines “train” it to recognize and destroy a specific tumor, the university press service reported.

The vaccine will be produced individually for each patient. To do this, scientists will use data on the genetic profile of their tumor. Scientists have already conducted the first tests on mice. The results showed that tumor size decreased in vaccinated animals, but not in unvaccinated animals.
