The Mikron plant, part of the Element group of companies, has significantly expanded its production capacity for the production of packaged microcircuits for extreme electronics. As part of the project, 1.5 thousand m2 of production area was modernized, which made it possible to open new clean production facilities of ISO 8 class and install 29 new equipment, 8 of which are of Russian design.

In new areas of assembly production, Mikron carries out basic technological operations such as wafer drawing, crystal assembly, bonding of aluminum conductors and sealing of microcircuits. This expansion will allow us to increase the production of microcircuits for use in instrumentation, mechanical engineering and other areas where devices must operate in conditions with high temperature, pressure and radiation differences (for example, in the Arctic regions or during underground work).

The Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov noted that the development of assembly production at Mikron includes the commissioning of 8 Russian-made units and the creation of 187 new jobs. These measures are aimed at strengthening the production base and supporting domestic toolmaking and mechanical engineering.

Gulnara Khasyanova, General Director of Mikron JSC, emphasized that the modernization of production will meet the needs of domestic enterprises for microcircuits used in extreme operating conditions. She also noted that domestic equipment and components are actively introduced at the plant, and by the end of this year it is planned to install 40 more pieces of equipment, 12 of which are Russian-made.
