Technology is already having a significant impact on people’s lives. Noland Arbo, the first person to receive an implant from Neuralink, shared his impressions. Previously paralyzed, he can now use devices and even play video games.

But it wasn’t without its problems: In May, a wire in Arbo’s brain slipped, though a Neuralink representative assured us the chip was now stable.

Musk spoke about the company’s future during a broadcast on July 11. He aims to implant chips in thousands of patients in the coming years.

Neuralink technology allows robotic limbs to be controlled using thoughts, exceeding the speed of natural brain signals.

Musk sees an even more global goal in this: creating a symbiosis between humans and AI to reduce the risks associated with the development of AI.
