The discussion lasted two years and clear requirements for AI developers emerged.
The law defines restrictions on the use of technology in situations where it may threaten citizens’ rights.
Apps that use artificial intelligence to perform biometric classification based on orientation or religion, as well as those that extract online facial images and security camera footage, are prohibited.
Developers must ensure maximum transparency in their activities, provide the data on which neural networks are trained, and respect copyrights.
Chatbots need to work with clear and transparent algorithms.
In case of violation of the law, fines are stipulated: up to 35 million euros or 7% of the company’s annual revenue for the use of prohibited types of artificial intelligence.
