Autodesk has begun selectively disconnecting Russian customers from its software products, RBC reported, referring to developers who are Autodesk customers.

Some Autodesk software users in Russia lost access to the cloud service where project documentation was stored. It is clarified that the blocking affected customers who continued to use Autodesk services by purchasing a license through third countries or using a VPN.

Autodesk is the developer of such programs as AutoCAD, 3ds Max and the Revit family of programs, which were used by the majority of Russian developers and designers.

In March 2024, Autodesk banned Russian companies from using its software products. The company referred to the restrictions introduced by the European Union as part of the twelfth package of sanctions. In particular, this is a ban on the supply of software for industrial production and design.
