The design is reminiscent of Tesla’s steering system, but with unique features. This steering wheel replaces traditional pedals, controlling both steering, acceleration, and braking.
To accelerate, you have to press the steering wheel, and to brake, you have to pull it towards you.
I chose this instead of advertising.
The system uses steer-by-wire technology, which allows the steering wheel to operate without a physical connection to the steering column. The steering wheel can also be folded and stored within the dashboard when the car is in autonomous mode.
This development also brought with it some security concerns.
The possibility of involuntary brake release when decelerating requires additional testing and may require the implementation of semi-autonomous driver assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking.
