The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 will be the successor to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 that powered models like the Xiaomi Poco X6 and Realme 12 Pro Plus last year. The new SoC will aim to improve performance in affordable devices.
According to the leaked data, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 will be equipped with one big Cortex-A720 core at 2.5 GHz, three cores at 2.4 GHz, and four efficient cores at 1.8 GHz.
The GPU will be upgraded to Adreno 810, which will provide a significant performance boost over the previous model.
In Geekbench 6 tests, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 showed a 16% performance increase in single-core tests and a 7% performance increase in multi-threaded tests compared to the previous version.
The first smartphone based on Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is expected to appear in the fall of 2024. Insiders report that the device will have a curved display with FullHD+ resolution and a 50-megapixel main camera.
