The website “Onlineinspection.rf” contains applications from employees from Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Ryazan and other cities. The period of salary delay ranges from two weeks to four months.

The bookstore itself does not explain the delays and, if the employee does not agree with the conditions, offers to resign of his own free will, the employees’ appeals say. In addition, after dismissal, the company also does not pay full wages or compensation for unused vacation days.

Employees of the retail chain Book Labyrinth (part of Labyrinth) are also forced to resign due to salary delays of up to six months, two employees told the publication. According to one of them, the company explains the situation as temporary difficulties that began about a year and a half ago.

The total number of employees who have left Labyrinth could reach 1,000 people: some of them were fired, others left the company of their own free will, said a senior manager of a major book publisher.

Labyrinth has accumulated a multi-million-dollar debt to the publishers of the Eksmo AST group; at the end of May 2024, the latter stopped sending books to the network. The book chain’s debt to the Eksmo AST publishing group amounts to “several hundred million rubles.”
