WIOTC Executive Committee Chairman He Xiuming emphasized the list’s role in “recognizing digital economy initiatives worldwide.” In his opening speech, he highlighted the rapid growth of IoT technologies, predicting that the number of global IoT connections will reach 25 billion by 2025. He also emphasized the importance of developing communication technologies such as 5G, 6G, and quantum networks to improve “performance and connectivity.”

The summit aimed to promote innovation and collaboration in the IoT sector. Government officials, diplomats and business leaders from more than 40 countries, including China, France, South Africa and Pakistan, attended the meeting.
