The latest data from major Apple suppliers, including TSMC and Largan, suggests that iPhone 16 orders have not seen a significant increase. TSMC said there was no sudden increase in units, while Largan noted that orders for the high-end model this year were comparable to last year. Kuo said iPhone 16 orders are projected at around 87 million units in the second half of 2024, down slightly from the 91 million units shipped for the iPhone 15 in the same period in 2023.
This data suggests that the impact on iPhone 16 sales may be minimal, despite Apple Intelligence, a new feature expected to be available in beta for US users in late 2024.
