At the same time, the highest year-on-year growth was shown by Sechenov University, Southern Federal University, South Ural State University, Kazan Federal University, Innopolis University and MISiS.

Universities from Adygea, the Vologda region, Chechnya, Karelia and the Tver region appeared in the 2024 ranking for the first time. The leader in terms of the number of universities teaching AI remains the Central Federal District (74 universities, 40 of them in Moscow).

The key criterion for evaluating universities was the salary of young specialists one year after graduation. At the top universities in the ranking, the average salary of graduates exceeds 200 thousand rubles.

• The Association for Artificial Intelligence brings together technology companies to develop AI in Russia and ensure the country’s leadership in the global market. The association’s members include Sberbank, Gazprom Neft, Yandex, VK, RDIF, Sibur, Uralchem, Rusagro, Severstal and Samolet.
• The Association’s university ranking was first released in 2023. In 2024, the Alliance surveyed more than 170 companies from 12 industries, asked questions to students, and also conducted a survey at universities. The ranking includes only universities with bachelor’s and/or specialty programs in the field of AI.
