For example, for a restaurant in a large city with an area of 100 sq. m, with a summer area of 50 sq. m it will cost 11 thousand rubles per month, and for a bank branch with an area of 80 sq. m – 3 thousand rubles (if you do not use specialized audio services).

By law, the organization of background music in public institutions (cafes, bars, restaurants, events, shopping centers, sports and entertainment centers, etc.) requires mandatory contributions from authors, performers and related copyright owners.
Payment is made under an agreement with accredited public organizations. In Russia, these are the Society of Russian Authors (RAO) and the all-Russian public organization “Society for Collective Management of Related Rights” All-Russian Intellectual Property Organization” (WIPO).
The amount of remuneration to be paid by the owner of the establishment or the organizer of the event is calculated based on the type of business and the size of the establishment. Nuances such as the presence of karaoke and whether there will be music in the toilets, elevators and stairwells are also taken into account. There are special programs to reduce the fee: regional or for the initial conclusion of a contract.
