Apple is no longer among the top 5 smartphone vendors in China due to increased competition from local brands. According to analytics company Canalys, the iPhone’s share in China fell from 16% to 14% in the second quarter of 2024.

In total, Apple shipped 9.7 million smartphones, ranking sixth in terms of shipments. In Q2 2023, it ranked third in terms of shipments to China.

The top 5 manufacturers in terms of smartphone shipments to China included Vivo (13.1 million), Oppo (11.3 million), Honor (10.7 million), Huawei (10.6 million) and Xiaomi (10 million).
