As TASS reports, citing law enforcement sources, Khodorkovsky’s debt includes outstanding fines for violations of foreign agent activity rules, unpaid fees, state duties and taxes, as well as penalties for them.
According to the Bank of Enforcement Proceedings of the Federal Bailiff Service, since 2005 eight enforcement proceedings have been initiated against the businessman to collect about 16.2 billion rubles in unpaid taxes, more than 1.2 billion rubles in enforcement fees and state duties in the amount of 29 thousand rubles.
The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added Mikhail Khodorkovsky to the register of persons performing the functions of a foreign agent on May 20, 2022.
