Russian RuTube has launched a feature for uploading videos from American YouTube. You can upload up to 2,000 videos at a time, their length should not exceed 300 minutes. YouTube’s slowdown in Russia began at the end of July; at the moment, many users are unable to fully use the video hosting service.

RuTube has launched a feature to transfer content from YouTube. In the channel settings section, a separate field appeared to enable the feature, RuTube reported.
A YouTube channel author can upload up to 2,000 videos to RuTube at a time. The duration of each video must not exceed 300 minutes and the volume must not exceed 25 GB. The content must be public and not protected by privacy settings.
To transfer content, the channel author must confirm ownership of the channel. To do this, he or she must indicate a unique verification code in the channel description and write down the identifier.
The innovations come amid a global slowdown in YouTube in Russia. The press service of RuTube reported that since July the daily audience of the service has grown to 9 million users.
YouTube’s slowdown began at the end of July. It was reported that the speed of video hosting would drop by 70%, but at the moment the service simply does not work for many users: the YouTube page does not open, videos do not load.
