Previously, there was a restriction in the UK. Drones were used to deliver orders, but they had to be strictly within the operator’s field of vision. This rule has now been lifted.
Amazon says it plans to launch such delivery in the UK by the end of the year. Since last year, the company’s drones have been delivering goods to service customers in the US, which has also lifted a similar restriction.
Last year, Amazon also announced the launch of drone deliveries in Italy. To this end, Amazon Prime Air is developing the MK30 drone, which is also planned for use in the UK. It is capable of carrying just over 2 kg.
