Despite its potential, adoption of V2X technology in the country has been slow and hindered by “regulatory uncertainty and changes in government priorities,” NPR writes.

The plan calls for implementing V2X infrastructure on 20% of all highways by 2028 and providing V2X at signalized intersections in 25% of the country’s largest metropolitan areas.
