The Russian government plans to retrain 1.5 million qualified specialists between 2025 and 2030 to replenish staff in priority sectors of the economy, Vedomosti reports, citing the federal project “Active Measures to Promote Employment.”

This area will become part of the national project “Personnel”, and the Ministry of Labour will be responsible for its results. There is no exact list of directions yet, but at different times these were agriculture (including malt growing), pharmaceuticals, work in defence, metallurgical and light industrial enterprises.
The department expects that educational institutions will have to train approximately 250,000 specialists annually for the needs of priority industries. In 2023, this figure was 198,000 people. In total, between 2025 and 2030, about 1.5 million people will be able to undergo retraining programs. The government also plans to increase the employment rate of graduates by 77% in six years and up to 81.4% in the second year after graduation.
In Russia, the demand for marketers is growing – by 72% year on year. There is also a demand for couriers, sales managers and sales consultants.
