The Brief Telegram channel has dissolved its editorial staff after being included in a list of foreign agents. This happened on August 16; now other channels affiliated with Brief have ceased to operate.

Telegram channel Brief* announced the dissolution of its editorial board after the channel was included in the register of foreign agents. Brief reported this in a post for subscribers.

Under the current conditions, the Brief telegram channel will not be able to function, and other channels associated with Brief (Brief Important** and Brief Podcasts) have ceased to function. Editor-in-chief Vladimir Dergachev, his deputy Ekaterina Vinokurova and editor-in-chief for special projects Gleb Shkitin have left the project.

On August 16, the Ministry of Justice added the Brief and Brief Importante telegram channels to the register of foreign agents. According to the ministry, they spread false information about the policy pursued by the Russian authorities and also published information aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian armed forces.
