This code will automatically take you to the State Services page, which will describe the procedure for registering an accident according to the European protocol (without the involvement of the traffic police) and download a special mobile application.
“This service allows not only to register an accident but also to submit a claim for compensation for losses without having to visit the insurance company. The change in the form is provided for in the updated MTPL Rules, which will come into effect from October 1,” the regulator said in a statement.
The Central Bank also noted that the European protocol is very popular among motorists: up to 100 thousand accidents are recorded in Russia every month without the involvement of police officers. By the way, the new OSAGO Rules received a special supplement with the information necessary for obtaining a policy and in case of an insured event. It contains: a list of necessary documents, the procedure for settling an accident and other important information. Insurers will give this form to the motorist when signing the contract, as they do now.
In early August, RB.RU reported that from October 1, the MTPL policy will be valid on the territory of Belarus. Car owners from the Russian Federation will not have to pay additional insurance when visiting a neighboring country.
