The State Commission on Radio Frequencies (SCRF) decided to extend the analog broadcasting permits for two years. This was announced on August 26 at the XXVIII meeting of the National Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters (NAT).

Larina announced that the SCRF has decided not to switch off analogue broadcasting on 31 December 2024, as previously planned. As a result, existing analogue broadcasting permits will be extended for two years, which will allow time for further solutions to be found.

According to Larina, this step will allow TV channels to continue broadcasting in analogue format until the end of 2026. This is due to the need for additional time to develop an optimal approach for the further development of television and radio broadcasting in the country.
