Samsung became the market leader by shipping a total of 62.2 million smartphones in the second quarter. While the company is ahead of Apple with 48.9 million units, analysts drew attention to the good sales of the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy S22 series models. Strong brand loyalty to Apple and increased interest in the iPhone 13 series have helped.
Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo were third, fourth and fifth respectively, but sales of all three were down 20% year-over-year. Honor is doing its best. The company saw a 125.4 percent year-on-year increase in sales and ranked sixth with over 15.1 million shipments.
