Denise Prudhomme, 60, was found in her office at the company on Tuesday, August 20. She had last entered the building at 7 a.m. on Friday.
According to media reports, Prud’homme’s body was not found earlier due to the isolated location of his compartment and the fact that many employees were working remotely. Despite the strange smell noticed by his colleagues, they decided it was a problem with the plumbing.
Police and a Maricopa County doctor found no indication that the death was violent, although the cause of death has not yet been determined. In response, Wells Fargo announced plans to review its internal procedures to “ensure the well-being of employees.”
