In an effort to reassure laptop users, Intel also clarified that many desktop processors, including non-K-series i5 and i3 chips and Xeon processors, are not affected by this issue.
Intel spokesperson Thomas Hannaford emphasized that the Vmin Swap Instability issue is being investigated, but that it is not the sole cause of previously reported crashes. The company also promised that future processors, including those built on the upcoming Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake architectures, will be designed to avoid the issue.
