According to Digital Foundry experts, these technologies will take game visual effects to a new level, making them more realistic and detailed.

Machine learning is already being used to improve graphics on PCs and consoles, as with NVIDIA’s DLSS technology.

The PlayStation 5 Pro will feature a similar system called Spectral Super Resolution, which could make a significant difference between the new consoles and their predecessors, finally offering stable 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.

Experts say that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have failed to meet expectations because they cannot deliver the promised features without serious losses in quality. With the new consoles, this problem may be a thing of the past.
