Searching the stores for a memory card to record music on my player, I had a question: “Does the size of the disk affect the speed of writing and reading information? And if it does, is it positive or negative? To close my gestalt, I bought 4 memory cards of 16, 32, 64 and 128 gigabytes from Silicon Power “Elite”. The choice was made towards a brand and a line.
Packaging and equipment
In view of the fact that all memory cards are representatives of the same series, the packaging, of course, is identical. On the front of the package there is a logo of the Silicon Power company, a footnote about the support for fast recording of information in FULL HD quality. Each package contains information about the total volume of the unit. At the bottom, on the base, there are markings about the type and class of the drive: in our case, this is Micro SD HC\XC class 10.

The reverse shows the main and distinctive qualities of these media in eight languages. In addition, each user can scan the QR code with a smartphone, after which they will be redirected to the official Silicon Power website, where they can activate their device warranty.

Appearance
Like most memory cards, the selected medium is made from a microplate encased in a black plastic case as standard. The adapter is equipped with a slider to lock writing in the middle and a slot to install the card in it. In the center is the SP logo and the Micro SD label. On the back of the adapter, apart from the contacts, there is nothing else.

On the drive itself, unlike the adapter, in addition to the Silicon Power logo, the Elite series is registered, there are all the same class markings and information about the size of the memory card.

Each card has a serial number on the back.

Tests
For an objective evaluation of the speed of reading and writing memory cards, popular programs with benchmarks for personal computers were used.

conclusion
As we can see from the tests, even though all the memory cards are from the same series, the read and write speeds are different. The data differs especially between drives with a volume of 16/32 GB and 64/128 GB. With normal use to store photos and videos, or increase memory in a smartphone, the user will not notice much difference. However, in cases where every fraction of a second plays a role during the reading of information, then, of course, it is preferable to choose memory cards with a large volume.
