The leaked project presentation proposes a new OS initial setup screen, an improved touch keyboard controllable with built-in buttons and joysticks, a simplified game launcher, and improved controller support.

The presentation also suggests changes to Windows’ default behavior, such as always manually opening apps in full-screen mode and improved UI scaling for small screens. As a reminder, the Steam Deck has a 7-inch screen, which can make traditional Windows interfaces difficult to navigate.

The project was reportedly developed as part of an internal Microsoft hackathon in September 2022.

It is not yet clear whether this project will be made public or integrated into future versions of Windows.
