The plant will produce gas by processing pig and poultry farm waste in a bioreactor, which will then become fuel to generate electricity. Alexander Tsydenov said this will make the air in the region cleaner and reduce the negative impact of animal waste.

According to the President, the project will also open new opportunities for environmentally friendly development of pig and poultry farming in the region.

Earlier it was known that Rosatom was considering the possibility of building wind power plants in the Khabarovsk Territory. During the Eastern Economic Forum, a meeting was held between the head of the region Dmitry Demeshin and the General Director of Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC Grigory Nazarov, where the project was discussed.
