The company acquired almost 100 parcel terminals that belonged to Qiwi before PickPoint for 6 million rubles, as well as another 40 parcel terminals designed according to the Qiwi model in 2020-2021, including additional modules, for 1.1 million rubles.
The initial price of the property was 10.1 million rubles and 1.1 million rubles, respectively. The parcel terminals are pledged by Sberbank and Sovcombank.
PickPoint purchased 2,500 Qiwi parcel terminals, which operated under an agency model, in 2019. At that time, each parcel terminal was valued at 200-300 thousand rubles.
Nearly 1,500 PickPoint parcel terminals will be auctioned in September, with a starting price of 190 million rubles. The EFRSB materials do not specify whether they are related to the Qiwi network or whether they are PickPoint’s own equipment.
DNS reported that parcel terminals of the chain will appear in the chain’s stores in December 2023. RB.RU was unable to obtain any comment from the retailer.
The property of the PickPoint parcel delivery network, which went bankrupt in January, will be put up for auction in May 2024. Experts interviewed by RB.RU noted that it would be difficult to sell the devices due to obsolete equipment and possible software problems. Meanwhile, the amount of civil claims filed against Network of Automated Pickup Points LLC (PickPoint legal entity), which manages the network, exceeded 1 billion rubles.
In April 2023, when the Russian company PickPoint filed for bankruptcy, the network was well developed, there were about 6,000 parcel terminals and 4,500 pick-up points in large cities and towns, its value was between 500 and 1 billion rubles, according to Yaroslav Kabakov, director of strategy at the Finam financial group. According to estimates by Data Insight, at the time of bankruptcy there were about 5,000 parcel terminals in the network, including those acquired from Qiwi in 2019, but which continued to operate under this brand. PickPoint’s volumes are comparable to those of the Russian Post, which has 7,000 devices. In total, by 2024, there were 38 thousand parcel terminals operating in Russia.
