At IFA 2024, HONOR announced several major new products, including the MagicPad 2 tablet, Magic V3 smartphone, Watch 5 watch, and MagicBook Art 14 laptop.
They have all been seriously updated and have received AI functions. We tell you what has changed.
Ultra-thin foldable smartphone Magic V3
The smartphone’s body is made of a special fabric, which makes it 40 times more shockproof than other foldable smartphones, while the back panel is reduced by 30%.
When folded, the device is 9.2 mm thick, and when unfolded, it is 4.35 mm thick.
The gadget is equipped with a lightweight and durable hinge made of HONOR Super Steel, which can withstand more 500,000 foldswhich is confirmed by the SGS certificate. The internal protected screen HONOR Super Armored, externally covered with the nanocrystalline screen HONOR, which makes it resistant to impacts and scratches. The level of moisture protection is IPX8.
The HONOR Magic V3 display uses a 4320Hz control panel, which reduces eye strain. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.43-inch external display and a 7.92-inch internal display. The Dynamic Brightness and Circadian Night Screen functions, together with AI algorithms, reduce eye fatigue by simulating lenses.
The device has a 5150 mAh battery and a 66 W battery charger, as well as a 50 W wireless charger. The camera has three modules: the main 50 MP with optical stabilization, an ultra-wide 40 MP module, and a 50 MP telephoto module with 3.5x rotation.
HONOR Magic V3 will be available in Terracotta, Green and Black colours from September 5th, priced at EUR 1,999.
MagicPad 2 Tablet with 3K Display
HONOR MagicPad 2 has a 12.3-inch AMOLED display with a 3K resolution, 1.07 billion colors, and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The screen supports vision protection technologies (PWM frequency 4320 Hz, Dynamic Brightness, and Circadian Night Screen). The AI Defocus function helps reduce eye strain by simulating the effect of bifocal glasses, reducing the elongation of the eyeball after 25 minutes of use.
The performance is provided by the 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, as well as 12+256 GB of memory. The updated MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 offers improved HONOR Notes and HONOR Documents apps with AI function to launch handwriting input, improve handwriting and translate speech into text.
Built-in battery capacity 10,050 mAh. HONOR SuperCharge 66W delivers up to 40% charge in 30 minutes.
The 8-speaker audio system, HONOR Spatial Audio pillars and IMAX Enhanced certification deliver high-quality sound and an immersive movie experience.
From September 5, HONOR MagicPad 2 will be available in Moon White and Black for 599 euros. Accessories for work and creativity are available: a keyboard case and a stylus HONOR Magic Pencil 3.
Thin Watch 5
HONOR Watch 5 weighs 35g and has a thickness of only 11mm, making it lightweight and comfortable to wear all day long.
It uses an unforgettable 1.85-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 450×390 pixels. And the battery life is provided by silicon carbon battery with a capacity of 480 mAh, which provides up to 15 days continuous use.
The watch allows you to primarily track key health indicators:
• heart rate clock
• blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2)
They also allow you to receive and analyze training data, both sleep and stress. Thanks to the AccuTrack system, the HONOR Watch 5 allows you to significantly improve the accuracy of GPS, which makes it even more effective in tracking your daily activities and outdoor training.
Very light laptop MagicBook Art 14
The HONOR MagicBook Art 14 is made of lightweight and durable magnesium alloy, with titanium at the base of the tower. Thanks to these materials and design, it weighs only 1 kg and is 1 cm thick, making it record compact in its segment.
The 14.6-inch AMOLED display occupies 97% of the front panel. The screen supports eye protection technologies (4320 Hz PWM frequency for operation at low temperatures, “Dynamic Brightness” with micro-adjustment and e-book mode for comfortable reading in the evening).
The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with 8 cores and a frequency of up to 4.8 GHz. HONOR OS Turbo 3.0 technology with AI algorithms helps to cope with light tasks with long battery life. The 60 Wh battery provides up to 9.5 hours of operation. There are Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI and a 3.5 mm jack ports.
The 6-speaker audio system with external sound support provides high volume and sound quality for watching movies.
The price of the new product is unknown. There is no release date yet either.
