HE Spotify It has invested heavily in podcasts, and this will also be reflected in offering ways for more people to try to move from just listeners to creators. The platform is already testing new tools for users in New Zealand Create your podcasts in the app itself.

Despite being one of the platforms people prefer to listen to podcasts in particular, Spotify has always had the limitation of not allowing them to be created. To mitigate the problem, the company acquired the well-known Anchor app, which focuses entirely on creating this type of sound. Now the partnership goes even further and will bring these tools to Spotify as well.

We don’t know if the rendering feature is limited to New Zealand or when it will be officially available worldwide, but from Michael Mignano’s tweet it’s clear that the plan is to make the tools available to everyone.

The executive is one of the co-founders of Anchor and in the tweet above hints that he founded his company with a mission to “democratize the sound” and that the news is coming to Spotify “starting in New Zealand”. this is just the beginning and the distribution will reach more countries.

We still don’t know how podcast creators will be able to access data on and access to their recordings, but we’ll soon have even more amateur podcast streams on Spotify.
