The Tagansky District Court of Moscow found Kinopoisk LLC guilty of administrative offences and imposed two fines: 7 million rubles and 3 million rubles. The first case concerns propaganda of pedophilia, the second – promotion of non-traditional sexual relations.
Previously, the Kinopoisk platform published the film “Amor” directed by Gaspar Noe, which contains sexual scenes with a minor. After the film was released in 2015, the Ministry of Culture banned its release in cinemas in Russia.
On September 9, 2024, the court fined the general director of the Kinopoisk online cinema 800 thousand rubles in an administrative case for promoting pedophilia.
In November 2022, Russia adopted a law banning the promotion of non-traditional sexual relations and gender reassignment. In January 2024, the court fined the online cinema Wink for showing prohibited scenes.
