2. Display – slightly enlarged for the first time in recent years.

3. Hardware – 10-20% difference in performance

There are modifications for 128/256/512/1024 GB, in the Pro Max model there is no configuration with a 128 GB drive. The RAM volume remained the same – 8 GB.
As always, the winner was 15-20% more powerful than the leader. This will be noticeable only in performance tests, in all other tasks the difference will not be noticeable.

4. Camera – differs only in the ultra-wide
📱 iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max An updated camera module has been received: 48 MP ƒ/1.78, ultra-wide 48 MP ƒ/2.2, telephoto 12 MP ƒ/2.8. Optical image stabilization with a second-generation interchangeable matrix is used. Zoom of 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x is available. The indicators are the same for the regular version and for the Max.
Due to the enlarged ultra-wide sensor, macro photos can be taken with 48 MP capability. There is an anti-reflective coating on the lenses.
4K Dolby Vision video recording at up to 120 fps. QuickTake video up to 4K at 60 fps is supported. ProRes recording up to 4K at 120 fps is available. You can record 1080p Dolby Vision video on the front camera.
The microphones have been improved, there is software processing for the sound of noise and wind.

The second generation of optical image stabilization is used with a replaceable matrix. Available from 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, and in Pro Max the maximum value is 5x.
The cameras record 4K video up to 60 fps without Dolby Vision. ProRes video recording up to 4K at 60 fps.
Who has a better camera: The iPhone 16 Pro update is unique. On the one hand, the ultra-wide-angle camera has a 48 MP matrix, which is also used for macro photography. With the other telephoto lens, it was not possible to disable the zoom system from the iPhone 15 Pro Max models with 5x magnification. “Why this is not a very good solution,” Nikita explained.
It’s safe to say that the iPhone 16 Pro camera is the best of all, and that there will be a noticeable difference in everyday shooting between the models.

5. Other differences
▶ iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max got another button – a new button – Camera Control. This is a touch key with vibration feedback that records presses and swipes. It is used for the camera, can start shooting, switch modes and change settings.
▶ Autonomy iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max increased. Apple promises +4 hours of battery life without recharging. This makes the iPhone 15 Pro Max the most autonomous iPhone with a rating of 33 hours of video playback.
▶ iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max received support for more powerful MagSafe wireless charging up to 25W with a 30W or higher adapter.
▶ iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max Got a more modern Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) module instead of Wi-Fi 6E in its predecessor.

All differences are brief
▶ Dimensions and design: iPhone 16 Pro has become slightly larger and heavier.
▶ Screen: iPhone 16 Pro – the rest are a little bigger, the parameters are the same.
▶ Iron: a more powerful processor in the iPhone 16 Pro, the difference is only noticeable in tests so far.
▶ Camera: on the side iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max 48MP ultra-wide, switching to a 5x telephoto is a controversial decision.
▶ Other differences – iPhone 16 Pro has a new button to launch the camera, increased battery life and faster charging via MagSafe.
What’s the bottom line: As with the iPhone 16, the update is minor. There is not even a difference in Apple Intelligence support. Both generations of the “pros” received all the features of the new AI.
The difference in price between the devices will be approximately 10-12 thousand. It is not yet clear whether this is what is worth overpaying for.
