This year, a team of six scientists discovered a security vulnerability in Apple’s Vision Pro that allows them to reverse engineer what people typed, including passwords, PINs, and messages.

When the helmet owner used the virtual Persona avatar, the researchers were able to track his eye movements to determine what the user was selecting on the security keyboard. The vulnerability was even covered by a separate website, GAZEploit.

In July, Apple released VisionOS 1.3, which fixed the vulnerability by disabling the avatar while typing on the keyboard.
