“We inform you about the planned closure of the Paveletskoye branch of JSC CB Citibank for working with retail clients in Moscow on November 15, 2024,” the message said.
The bank strongly recommends that customers consider “other options for placing funds” and asked them to complete all necessary transactions before this date. Once the branch is closed, you can contact the bank using the phone numbers listed on the credit institution’s website.
In September 2023, Citibank announced its desire to dismantle its ATM network throughout Russia, and it also became known about the closure of branches. The reason was that Citigroup announced the complete cessation of services to retail and corporate clients in the country. In the summer of 2022, information appeared about the intention to completely stop serving clients in the small and medium-sized business segment in Russia.
Citibank of Kazakhstan announced the cessation of operations with ruble accounts and their conversion into Russian currency. Clients were informed that they should close ruble accounts and transfer contracts to other banks by September 24.
